Description:
FROM THE DAILY MAIL:
The eagerly anticipated DC Comics movie, Aquaman, is set for release in early October 2018.
And from May this year, the blockbuster superhero flick, starring Jason Momoa, Amber Heard and Willem Dafoe, is set to be filmed in Queensland.
The Hollywood blockbuster production will begin filming at Village Roadshow studios in the Gold Coast, reported The Daily Telegraph on Monday.
The Queensland government confirmed the exciting project last month, with Treasurer Scott Morrison announcing the deal cost the Australian government 22 million Australian dollars ($16 million).
As part of it's already announced cast, Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa will play the Aquaman lead and Amber Heard to act as his love interest, Mera.
Amber, who plead guilty in a Gold Coast court in April to falsifying an immigration document for her dogs Pistol and Boo in 2014, has expressed her eagerness to return to Australia for the role.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she said she is looking forward to playing the underwater queen - and the wife of Aquaman - and is very excited about her costume.
She said: 'Yeah, yeah I have. It's interesting. It's like, half suit of armour, half scales. I don't know, it's strange. But we're in the process of building it now, so it's coming along.'
