Description:

While Pike was on an inspection tour of a cadet vessel, one of the baffle plates ruptured, causing a radiation leak. Pike went in and managed to bring out all the cadets who were still alive, but found himself caught in the automatic lockdown as delta radiation reached critical levels. He was severely injured and confined to a life support unit.
