sep 17, 1923 - Corfu, 1923 (failure)
Description:
Mussolini (Italy) invades the Corfu island of Greece after troops were ambushed.
Greece sought help from the League, League condemned Mussolini's aggression.
Mussolini refused to let the matter rest and demanded the League hand the matter over to another body. He eventually got his way and Greece was ordered to compensate and apologise to Italy.
Event showed the weakness of the structure of the League when a large power acts out of hand. British and France were willing to sacrifice justice for cooperation as they didn't want to anger Italy.
