The US found out that the Soviets had nuclear launch sites in Cuba and the Russians said it was purely for defense and we told the American people and so the US talked to the Soviets about the situation and set up a naval quarantine until they removed it from Cuba and we in return would move are back from the border of Russia and this whole time they were on the verge of a nuclear war.Added to timeline:
