Description:

On September 17, 1944, to September 27, 1944, Allied Paratroopers landed behind German enemy lines to seize road bridges at Arnhem, Netherlands which was called “Operation Market Garden.”. The result was a defeat for the Allies and the casualties were 3,996 dead, wounded, or missing for the U.S. and 11,000 - 13,000 dead along with 6,450 captured for the British and the Polish while the Germans suffered 7,500 - 10,000 casualties.
