With the use of Barney's homemade prehistoric helicopter as a means of escape so the two can join their bowling team for the bowling championship tournament. The Flintstones was and still is a staple in American culture. It also had an immense impact on American culture because it was the very first prime-time animated television show. It was a satire of American suburban life and parodied contemporary issues. The show also felt somewhat relatable because it included a working-class family as the main characters.
