Ruppelt, a WWII veteran fighter pilot noticed a strange white light on his wing. After it made aggressive moves, he engaged with it in the night sky for 27 minutes but it outmaneuvered his plane. Ruppelt operated project blue book which analyzed UFO data and decided if UFOs were a genuine threat to national security. The government later dismissed his sighting as a weather balloon. The now-declassified files of project blue book reveal that multiple reputable sources on the ground and in the air backed this event.
