Dr. Wolfgang Putsch created a Freikorps of 5,000 volunteers many of which supported of the Kaiser and took control of Berlin, declaring himself Chancellor. They were eventually defeated by a peaceful strike from the workers of Berlin in the 18th of March. 700 of the volunteers were arrested, but only 1 was sent to jail because judges were sympathetic to their cause.Added to timeline:
