Description:

The Bay of Pigs Invasion was a failed attack on Cuba's leader; Fidel Castro. The US gathered as many anti-Castro exiles and had the CIA train them. Their idea was that they would raid Cuba and overthrow the government, therefore stopping another country from becoming Communist. The plan was a very big failure. The place where they landed was super swampy and full of coral reefs. This caused many of the boats and watercraft to sink. Not to mention, they got stuck. That wasn't all the problem, though. Castro found out what was happening and met them there. More than 100 anti-Castros were killed or captured. The whole plan was a failure, but that wasn't all the damage. This incident let the whole world know that the US is trying to be sneaky and not to trust them. It humiliated not only the US but more specifically, the Kennedy Administration.
