Its open 24 hours every single day. Its dedicated to the 5.8 million people who sacrificed their lives during the three year war. 54,246 people died in the war. 8,200 from the 54,246 people were counted as missing in action, lost, or buried at sea at the Honolulu memorial.103,284 people were injured. There are 19 stainless steel statues, and they are approximately 7 feet tall. On display there are 14 army men, three marines men, one navy man, and one airforce man.They wear ponchos which cover their weapons and equipment. The ponchos are said to blow in the cold air of Korea. The mural wall has 41 panels going about 164 feet. Around 2,400 photos from the war are displayed upon the wall.
