jan 1, 1925 - Romo vs Laird
Description:
Romo Vs. Laird was one first case to fight school desegregation. The discussion battle started in 1925. Romo believed and wanted to have a new grammar school on Tenth Avenue. He argued how to end segregation for their kids' experience. However, the court decided to implement accredited faculty in all boarding schools and thus have equal education through the 1913 Arizona civil code, which continued school segregation until the mid-1950s.
