Description:

At the age of 15, my father crossed the southwestern border with one of his uncles in search for employment and economic relief in order to send money back to their families in Mexico. Along with many other migrants at the time, my father and his uncle crossed with the help of coyotes through the Sonora desert. After they crossed, they headed to live with his aunt in South San Francisco where both of them resided for various years working from job to job before he was kicked out and eventually went back to Mexico.
