Description:

Zenger = 1735 NY printer who published a story about the royal governor of NY -he accuses the governor of corruption. Zenger is then thrown in prison for libel. He is eventually found not guilty because the jury (made of colonists) ignored British law. Sets the stage for freedom of the press in the constitution.
