The Camp David Accords was was one of the successful negotiations that Carter had. This negotiation settled a dispute between Israel and Egypt. Israel promised to return land to Egypt in return for Egypt recognizing Israel. This became a high point for Carter which would leave him on top for a while until the events of the Iranian Hostage Crisis.Added to timeline:
