jan 2, 1945 - 1945 Hitler committed suicide and Berlin was liberated. Germany surrendered to the Allies. Allies forced Japan into surrender as they launched two atomic bombs in Nagasaki and Hiroshima August 1945 The war was declared over 2nd September 1945.
