Eratosthenes gave two durations to the invasion of Greece by Xerxes. He said it was in the first year of the seventy-fifth Olympiad, which would be 296 years after the First Olympiad in 776B.C. Summing his durations also gives 704 years after the Fall of Troy, which was 1183B.C. (Robertson 1788, 94–95).
