The Paris Peace Accords was the meeting that officially ended the war in Vietnam. There was an agreement by both sides of the war made at this treaty signing. The U.S. would take their troops out of Vietnam and American prisoners of war would be set free. The North Vietnam government agreed to keep the South Vietnam government intact. North Vietnam would not keep the Southern governtmn in tact, they would eventually convert them to communism.Added to timeline:
