Description:
The construction of the Coronado Bridge began in February 1967, and it was completed by August 3, 1969. It was opened on the 200th anniversary of San Diego. Originally, the Navy was against the bridge being built, as it would interfere with the ships in the Bay. The Coronado Bridge connects Coronado Island with the main city. Coronado is predominately white middle/upper class families.
