jun 4, 1916 - Brusilov Offensive

Description:

General Alexei Brusilov launches a surprise offensive in Central Russia and Northern Ukraine. It was extremely successful, so successful that in some sectors they reclaim 60 miles of lost land, all the while capturing 200,000 prisoners. It does not come without a toll though, as 1 million casualties fell onto Russia and 1.3 million onto Germany.

It succeeds it's goal of pulling troops from other fronts to hold the Russian one from the Central Powers.
