nov 7, 1811 - 1811, Battle of Tippecanoe
Description:
On the night of November 7, 1811, WIlliam Henry Harrison, the governor of Indiana saw an opportunity to attack Tenskwatawa’s village which was on the Tippecanoe River. Harrison destroyed the whole village and was victorious even though he lost more soldiers and men during the battle. This battle was an eye opener for Tecumseh, a skilled warrior and got him to think that the only way he could have an independent territory for all First Nations was to move up north and form an alliance with the British in Upper Canada.
