Description:

是1688年英国资产阶级和新贵族发动的推翻詹姆斯二世的统治、防止天主教复辟的非暴力政变。这场革命没有发生流血冲突，因此历史学家将其称之为“光荣革命”。1689年英国议会通过了限制王权的《权利法案》。奠定了国王统而不治的宪政基础，国家权力由君主逐渐转移到议会。君主立宪制政体即起源于光荣革命。
