The Nwc (North west Company) was a big competition for the Hudson's bay Company. the NWC was founded by two French coureurs des bois who decide two make a fur trading company of their own since they were not allowed to trade for themselves in the HBC. THe NWC took a more proactive approach by venturing deeper into native lands to trade at a lower price.
