Description:

Watt invented an upgraded version of Newcomen's steam engine which included steam on both sides of the piston so that the machine would operate steadily. This upgrade was better than Thomas Newcomen's steam engine and was three times more efficient, making Watt's upgrade favorable. People loved this invention so much that his name Watt was the name for the rate of energy transferred.
