Description:

The Spanish felt outnumbered and overwhelmed, and resorted to violence. They seized Montezuma and told him to follow their orders when ruling.

They forced him to:
- Put images of the Virgin Mary on the temples
- Recognise King Charles I as his ruler
- Do anything else Cortés said
