Description:

King Ferdinand appointed Pedrarias as the new governor of Darien, but him and Balboa had been old enemies. When he arrived at the Pacific coast, Balboa had 300 men and 4 ships with him. He told Pedrarias that he was planning on exploring islands further south, but Pedrarias suspected that he was planning on preventing him from becoming governor so he had Balboa arrested for treason and beheaded.
