Description:
There were three ships:
- La Nina, caravel (Vincente Pinzon)
- La Pinta, caravel (Martin Pinzon)
-La Santa Maria, carrack (Christopher Columbus)
The crew contained roughly 80 men including an interpreter, sailors and royal officials. There were no soldiers, settlers or priests.
- The ships were packed with the standard supplies for trading journeys to Africa (bells, beads, necklaces)
- They brought enough dried food to last a year, and barrels of wine and water
