Description:

Orlando Davila and seven other young men formed the Young Lors gang to counter the mounting antagonism against Puerto Ricans by other youth gangs. The gang originated in Chicago, rather than New York, where most people think it originated. The young men who formed young lords were children of the first Puerto Rican immigrants.
