feb 20, 2023 - Worldguard Exploit

Description:

The worldguard exploit was discovered by Makanat after realizing he could break blocks at Stormcrusher99's plot while it was sinking into the void. However, Makanat died, alerting POGNUGGET of the exploit. This caused others to catch wind of the exploit. N4x then theorized that it would be possible to place and break blocks above y level 256, giving them the ability to affect terrain they did not have perms to from above. Through this exploit, they were able to obtain all 4 types of tall flowers, sugar cane, vines, and all of the heads off of Staff Island. As a result of this and melons soon becoming public, grass spreading was temporarily turned off. Boone then offered to turn grass spreading back on in return for all of the staff heads. This began a negotiation between Boone and everyone that was involved in the exploit. Eventually they agreed to give back the heads for an enchanted tall flower for each player involved, grass growth, and rain on queue.
