US, South Vietnam, Viet Cong, and North Vietnam formally sign the Paris Peace Accords, the agreement ending the war and restoring peace in Vietnam. The agreement cease fire throughout Vietnam, US withdrew all troops and dismantled US base as the North Vietnam agreed to release all prisoners. Both sides agreed to withdraw all foreign troops from Laos and Cambodia and the prohibition of bases in and troop movements through these countries, ending the longest war in American history.Added to timeline:
