aug 6, 1945 - USA drops first atomic bomb on Hiroshima
Description:
The US further changed history with the very first deployment of a nuclear bomb against another country, and only one to date thankfully. The devastating attack came on August 6, 1945, on a specially picked city, Hiroshima. The B-29 bomber Enola Gay dropped the bomb, known as the Little Boy, onto the Japanese city, causing a city-leveling explosion unlike anything before. Almost everything was destroyed, tens of thousands lost their lives, and radiation sickness would plague Hiroshima for years to come.
