On December 7, 1941, hundreds of Japanese fighter planes assaulted the American naval base at Pearl Harbor with a simple plan: destroy the Pacific Fleet. Bombs and bullets roamed Honolulu, Hawaii, destroyed approximately 20 American naval vessels, including eight gargantuan battleships, and more than 300 airplanes as more than 2000 people perished.
