Description:

The Quota Act, AKA the Immigration Restriction Act, was passed restricting immigration in order to address issues of anti-immigration, including the 1919 recession and high unemployment, civil unrest and the policy of Isolation adopted by the US Government. Most importantly, it added two features to the immigration law, numerical limits on immigration and the use of a quota system for calculating the limits.
