The Treaty of Versailles of 1919 forced Germany to accept the responsibility of itself and its allies for the losses and damages of the Allies, created the Covenant of the New League of Nations, torn apart Germany territory and colonies, reduced Germany military forces, established Germany’s responsibility for reparations, which was mentioned in Article 231. Although the treaty of Versailles seemed to end WWI, the presence of the treaty laid the root of WWII.Added to timeline:
