Aprox Date. The Spanish under Tlaxcaltecan advice carry out a campaign against this altepetl.
Tepeaca was an important commercial enclave and landscape node between Tlaxcala and Cholula. It was in the crossroad used to transport goods between the coast and the inland, connecting Veracruz, Oaxaca and Central Mexico. Tepeaca was also of great political and economic importance as it collected the tribute for the Mexica provinces including great part of the valley, Tecamachalco, Tecalco, Quecholac and Quantinchan, among others.
