Description:

In May 1297, during the First War of Scottish Independence, an attack was made on Lanark, Scotland. William Wallace, a Scot, led a rebellion against the English and executed William Heselrig, the Sheriff of Lanark. Wallace participated in revolutions occuring all around Scotland, therefore the attack was not an unique occurrence.
