Description:

The First War of Scottish Independence's Battle of Falkirk, or Blar na h-Eaglaise Brice in Gaelic, took place on July 22, 1298. The English army, under the command of King Edward I of England, routed the Scottish under William Wallace. Wallace resigned from his position as Scotland's Guardian soon after the fight.
