Description:

The Heritage Project focuses on developing choreographic skills, including the process of abstraction and empowering students to express their own unique viewpoints. The residency will begin with an exploration of basic choreographic principles, movement creation, innovation and development. Dancers will be asked to discuss and write about the word, Heritage, and what this word might mean in their own lives. Selections of each dancer’s writings will be chosen and used to create movement studies based on the choreographic principles studied during the RDT residency. The RDT teacher will guide the students creatively using all elements to create an original piece of choreography.

This performance featured Eisenhower, Evergreen, Olympus, Copper Mountain, Northwest, Butler, Murray Jr High School, and AISU.
