oct 16, 1925 - Locarno treaties
Description:
Stresemann is still foreign minister
and as part of his policy of appeasing the western powers
he wanted to confirm the boundries of western Europe set by Versailles
so he called a conference in Locarno to do just that,
as a result Germany gained prestige and respect on the international stage
but it came at the cost of angering nationalists at home
yet Stresemann saw this as a necessary compromise in order to develop Germany's interests in the East,
he never acknowledged the borders w/ Czechoslovakia and Poland,
leaving them liable to change in the future
