mar 18, 1920 - Kapp Putsch
Description:
there was also right-wing nationalist anti-Weimar radicalism
but unlike the leftists who preffered popular uprisings,
the right opted for coup attempts
the first of these was the Kapp Putsch:
12 K Freikorps walk into Berlin,
the army doesn't react (it's not for it, it's not against it),
the government flees,
but the workers and civil servants of Berlin organise a mass protest,
unable to govern anything Kapp and his guys escape,
the Ebert government returns
this is an example of how Weimar was able to survive its early years in part thanks to the majority of ppl who actually supported it
