nov 11, 1918 - Armistice

Description:

WW1 ends

though the German Army did lose the armistice was signed before any Allied soldier actually stepped foot into Germany proper

this lent itself to the Stab-in-the-back theory:
that the army did not actually lose,
it was only the policy-makers in Berlin,
labelled the "November Criminals",
that intentionally sabotaged Germany by surrendering

Nazi propaganda later spoke of how the November Criminals were the Jews,

the theory was also helped by the fact that just before the armistice Ebert took over,
this meant that the Germans would see loss of WW1 not as the fault of the generals,
but of the new republic's politicians
this caused long-term resetment for Weimar
