jan 1, 2008 - TEAM 0.5
Description:
TEAM, Transmission Electron Aberration-corrected Microscope was a project through 2003-2009 with the initiative to integrate the most recent advancements in microscopy to be more openly available to the scientific community. TEAM 0.5 was the first electron microscope to demonstrate 50pm resolution in the the two forms (TEM and STEM). TEM is Transmission Electron Microscope and STEM is Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope. Its use was by outsiders were only available after the debut in October 2008. This TEM was capable fo producing images half a ten-billionth of a meter which less than the diameter of a hydrogen atom. The TEAM project was a was a major step in increasing the discoveries as it provided an electron microscope with a higher resolution by using the latest technology to optimise the depth of viewing.
