The ban restricts travel, immigration, and the ability to claim refugee status from predominately Muslim countries: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. In 2018, the U.S. Supreme Court upholds an amended version of the executive order placing restrictions on Iran, Syria, Yemen, Libya, Somalia, North Korea, and Venezuela.
