subgroups for boys and girls of different ages

aims:
- make the youth obedient to Musso
- idoctrinate the youth in Fascist values
- train the boys to become future soldiers
- train the girls to become future housewives, mothers

means:
- sports activities for both girls and boys
(boys for soldiers, girls for health/fertility)
- propaganda lectures
- parades
- sports competitions

degree of success is uncertain (its not like a quantifiable metric),
a sign of success is that there was no real opposition from the youth,
the majority of young people were probably not extremely enthusiastic though,
it could be said that as Balilla membership increased the members' enthusiasm for it decreased (you were no longer special for being part of it, it became a normality),
overall Fascist indoctrination of youth was broadly accepted by the majority
