Description:
Four basic rules:
1) Systematic Doubt - accept nothing as true unless it presents itself so clearly and distinctly to one's mind that there is no reason to doubt it.
2) Analysis - break problems down into subproblems
3) Synthesis - work from the simplest to the most complex of the subproblems
4) Check the work - carefully review one's conclusions to be certain of omitting nothing
