Amber Heard Is
Winning Red-Carpet
Beauty Right Now
Description:
In case you're not a celebrity beauty stalker, allow us to alert you to the fact that Amber Heard has been killing it on the red carpet lately. We've recently spotted her rocking a slew of old-Hollywood-inspired looks on the red carpet—think classic lip colors and va-va-voom waves—and we're loving it.
Yesterday at the Bulgari couture show, Heard channeled the '40s with a faux bob and bold red lips.
To re-create Heard's loose retro waves, hairstylist Nathaniel Hawkins suggests wrapping two-inch sections of hair in alternating directions around a one-and-a-half-inch curling rod. With every curl, roll the hair up to the scalp, then clip it in place for 20 minutes to allow the waves to set as they cool. Then brush out the waves using a boar-bristle brush for smoothness and shine, and fold the ends up, pinning them underneath to create the bob fake-out effect.
Heard's undone curls and subtle peach lips at the Miu Miu show were equally enviable.
If you're wondering what drool-worthy lipstick shade that is, so were we. Heard's makeup artist Melanie Inglessis used Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Lipstick in Soft Beige.
And finally, check out Heard's glam vibes at the Magic Mike XXL premiere in Amsterdam.
For this event, Inglessis used Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip Waterproof Lip Liner Pencil __in True Red__to line Heard's lips and then filled them in with Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense Matte Bright Red.
Amber, we applaud you for having fun with your hair and makeup and not being shy about owning a red lip. (If you're not quite as confident about finding the right red as Heard, you can start with this foolproof guide that breaks it down by skin tone.)
