nov 16, 1919 - 1919 Elections
Description:
Prior to this election, in 1918, universal male suffrage was introduced, as well as proportional representation in parliament
The PSI and the PPI, a new conservative Catholic party, together gain >50% of parliament seats,
due to internal squabbling neither of them forms a government,
instead the Liberals continued to form governments, each one lasting only a few months (bc they were minority governments)
(between June 1919 and October 1922 there were 4 seperate governments formed)
This shows how the liberal establishment was not representative of the majority of the Italians,
dissent grew
