Description:

The defense budget rose to $47 billion dollars due to mny changes that Eisenhower provided. Eisenhower had been a general and had much knowledge of the military and what was really needed. He was able to cut spending in certain areas such as having less troops and building less warships and planes. This cut spending by a tremendous amount which left to spend on other things to improve the economy.
