jan 8, 1938 - Munich Pact
Description:
As Hitler was looking for more territory, the major European powers of France and the UK adopted a policy called "Appeasement," where they gave in to Hitler's demands, hoping that if he was satisfied, he wouldn't raise an issue. Under the Munich Pact, they allowed him to annex Czechoslovakia (even though the Czechs and Slovaks were resistant to it).
