apr 4, 1996 - Curtis signs for JMJ Records.
Description:
A few days after meeting JMJ, Curtis showed JMJ what he done with the beat. JMJ laughed; he liked it the rhyme, but needed to teach 50 how to song format- how to count bar, build verses etc...- there was no structure.
Either way, JMJ decided to sign him. JMJ already had a label deal with Def Jam and was successful with artists like ONYX.
Curtis didn't even look at what he was signing, he just knew he was gonna be a star.
