Who: Timothy McVeigh, and Terry Nichols were the ones responsible for the planning and execution of the Oklahoma truck bombing.
What: Timothy and Terry planned to construct a bomb containing more than 5,000 pounds of ammonium nitrate fertilizer, mixed with 1,200 pounds of racing fuel. Then rented a Ryder truck, leaving it in front of the Federal building. Then left to a get away vehicle where Timothy set off the bomb.
Where: It took place in Oklahoma City at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, and it impacted 16 city blocks surrounding the building.
Why: Anti-federal government sentiments was part of the reason why they bombed the government building. They were angry with the way the federal government handled past standoffs with extremists ( 1992 at Ruby Ridge and the Waco siege 1993 ).
